Returns f(D) + Lap(sensitivity/epsilon) from the shared generator so the R and Python arms produce the same noise.

Usage

morie_private_release(value, sensitivity, epsilon, seed = 0)

Arguments

value

The (non-private) output to release.

sensitivity

Positive l1 sensitivity of f.

epsilon

Privacy parameter.

seed

Seed for the shared generator.

Value

A list with the released value, the noise, the scale, the noise variance, and the epsilon.

Examples

morie_private_release(value = 120, sensitivity = 1, epsilon = 0.5, seed = 1)[c("released", "scale")]
#> $released
#> [1] 120.2857
#>
#> $scale
#> [1] 2
