For a rare outcome (prevalence below 0.15 or not given) the OR approximates the RR; for a common outcome the OR is converted with \(RR \approx \sqrt{OR}\) (VanderWeele & Ding 2017), as EValue::evalues.OR(rare = FALSE).

Usage

e_value_or(odds_ratio, ci_lower = NULL, ci_upper = NULL, prevalence = NULL)

Arguments

odds_ratio

Observed odds ratio.

ci_lower, ci_upper

Optional 95% CI.

prevalence

Outcome prevalence (optional); 0.15 or more selects the common-outcome conversion.

Value

A morie_evalue named-list.

Examples

res <- e_value_or(2.0)
res$e_value_point
#> [1] 3.414214
